Position: Branch Manager I

This leadership role entails overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including customer service, sales, compliance, and risk management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve branch performance targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment for your team. A key aspect of the position is proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the bank’s customer base and market share within the designated geographic area. You will also be expected to build strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance the bank’s reputation and visibility. This position requires a strong understanding of banking regulations, credit principles, and operational procedures.

Your responsibilities extend to managing and developing branch staff, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure their success. You will be responsible for conducting performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will ensure that the branch operates in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Qualification and Experience

Candidates for the Branch Manager I position must possess a Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a recognized higher learning institution in one of the following fields: Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, or a related field of discipline. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in business principles and financial management. Furthermore, applicants must have a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the banking sector. This experience should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of banking operations, customer service, and sales management. Crucially, at least two (2) years of this experience must be at a supervisory level, demonstrating the candidate’s ability to lead and manage a team effectively. These qualifications are designed to ensure that the selected candidate has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to successfully manage a branch and contribute to the growth of Tsehay Bank.
