Position: Finance Intern
This internship is designed to provide practical experience in the financial operations of a large international humanitarian organization. As a Finance Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks, including managing financial documents, ensuring accurate data entry, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring that all financial processes are conducted in accordance with NRC policies and procedures. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you can gain a strong foundation in finance, accounting, and administration within the context of humanitarian aid. The selected candidate will also learn about compliance requirements and ethical practices in the financial management of a global non-profit organization.
Your day-to-day tasks will include ensuring all finance documents and files are complete, scanned, and properly filed, ensuring all the files are safe and regularly updating the files when needed. You will also ensure all files are scanned and uploaded in a filling tree and be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of all records at all times. Providing the vouchers to the auditors when needed, assisting the monthly check lists and making sure it is done every month on the 24th is also a vital role. You will be supporting the Finance department by performing other duties when required and given by the line manager. This internship is a great launching pad for a future career in finance or non-profit management.
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, Fresh graduated with CGPA above 3.0
- Good computer skills – Ms Office & database.
- Good communication skills

- Fluency in English, both written and verbal

- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
