Washington Healthcare is currently recruiting for the following positions, all located in Addis Ababa:
Junior Radiology Technologist: This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiology Technology. No prior experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates. Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures, providing patient care and preparation, operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring image quality and documentation, and adhering to safety and compliance protocols. Salary and benefits are negotiable and attractive.
Junior Nurse Professional: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and have no prior experience. Key duties include identifying patients’ care requirements, nurturing a compassionate environment through psychological support, resolving or reporting patient needs or problems, preparing patients for examinations and performing routine diagnostic checks, monitoring and recording patient conditions, treating medical emergencies, administering workloads, following care regulations and standards, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Salary and benefits are negotiable and attractive.
Emergency Critical Care Nurse: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 3-5 years of experience as a Matron. The successful candidate will perform immediate and thorough assessments of critically ill or injured patients, prioritize care based on severity, administer emergency treatments, operate and monitor advanced life support equipment, administer medications and fluids, continuously monitor vital signs, document assessments and treatments accurately, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and communicate effectively with patients and families. Recovery Nurse: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Anesthetist and have one to two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include patient care and monitoring, communication and documentation, and emergency response.
ICU and Critical Care Nurse: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, along with at least 5 years of experience as an ICU nurse or in a critical care unit. Candidates must have a good understanding of health information structures and technology, be available to work 12-hour day and night shifts, and demonstrate empathy and communication skills. Essential duties involve evaluating and monitoring patient progress, identifying changes in patient conditions, providing updates to doctors and families, initiating treatments, responding to medical emergencies, caring for patient needs in the ICU, completing paperwork, maintaining records, and implementing care plans.
Scrub Nurse: This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of experience as a scrub nurse, particularly in orthopedic, urology, and neurosurgery cases. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting during surgery by handing instruments and maintaining the sterile field, managing surgical instruments, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Audit Manager: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA are highly preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Key duties include audit planning and execution, team leadership, reporting and documentation, compliance and risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
