Required Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for the Sales Executive position, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. We welcome applications from both recent graduates and those with prior experience. While previous experience in sales and marketing is advantageous, we are also interested in candidates with a strong aptitude for sales and a willingness to learn and grow. A minimum of zero to two years of experience in sales and marketing or related fields will be considered.
A key aspect of this role involves understanding how field sales operates within a larger sales organization. This includes familiarity with sales strategies, territory management, and reporting procedures. We are looking for individuals who are committed to continuous learning and professional development. Participation in workshops, seminars, and conferences is highly encouraged to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial for effectively interacting with customers, presenting product information, and negotiating sales agreements.
Furthermore, strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential for resolving customer inquiries, addressing concerns, and closing sales deals. A valid driving license, at least a 2nd-grade license with driving experience, is required for this position as it involves traveling within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As a Sales Executive at United Beverages S.C, your primary responsibility will be to consistently execute daily tasks to achieve 100% of the established target. This requires a commitment to diligence, efficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all outlets within your assigned territory is critical. This includes documenting active outlets, temporarily closed outlets, and permanently closed outlets, and updating relevant data regularly.
Each day, you will be expected to visit a minimum of 25 pre-selected outlets, following a schedule approved and submitted by the Area Sales Manager. During these visits, you will be responsible for completing the sales buzz survey questions, providing valuable insights into market trends and customer preferences. Additionally, you may be required to visit additional outlets as needed to address specific needs or opportunities. To ensure comprehensive coverage, you must visit every outlet in your assigned route at least once a month, regardless of the outlet’s sales volume contribution. Timely attendance at morning meetings with Vehicle Sales Managers (VSMs) and issue reporting is mandatory to ensure seamless communication and coordination within the sales team.
On-time submission of weekly and monthly journey plans, and strict adherence to these plans, is essential for effective territory management. Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring daily early morning deliveries to maintain product availability at the outlets. Maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all customers is paramount. This includes actively listening to their needs, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
Regularly check the stock levels inside the fridges at each outlet to ensure adequate product availability and proper stock rotation. Verify that the fridge planogram is respected, fully utilized, and correctly positioned. Take immediate corrective action when necessary to optimize product placement and visibility. Inspect the proper positioning and functionality of company assets and product delivery to ensure they meet company standards.
Engage in negotiations with outlets to secure priority in creating visibility and placement of Point of Sale (POS) materials, such as banners, light boxes, and posters. Actively seek out new Point of Sale (POS) opportunities and explore new markets to expand the company’s reach and increase sales. Conduct night visits to at least three outlets per night, three nights per week, to observe consumer behavior and gather market intelligence.
Collect consumer-related information and effectively communicate product benefits and features. Carefully observe and evaluate consumer behavior and category preferences to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Build and maintain excellent relationships with consumers to foster brand loyalty and advocacy. Distribute promotional materials professionally and meticulously keep records of all promotional activities.
Ensure that influential individuals are incorporated into all promotional activities and maintain a close relationship with them to leverage their influence.
