Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets
In this role, the Senior Accountant will manage and oversee the company’s fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will hold a business-related bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and possess a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting is required, along with proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools. Strategic thinking and the ability to shape processes, people, and systems are essential attributes for success in this position.
Senior Accountant – Revenue Reporting
The Senior Accountant for Revenue Reporting will be responsible for preparing cash forecasts, conducting cash flow analyses, and building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans. Candidates should have a finance-related honors degree from a recognized university and be qualified accountants holding CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certifications. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of accounting experience in a reputable company, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level, is essential. Extensive experience in financial modeling and analysis is highly desirable.
Senior Manager: Record to Report
The Senior Manager will lead the Record to Report function, overseeing financial reporting, control, and compliance. This role requires a business or IT-related degree from a recognized university, with a preference for qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or Accounting. A professional accounting qualification, such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA, is an added advantage. Candidates should have 5 to 8 years of accounting experience in an international company or senior managerial experience in audit firms. The role includes direct supervision of managers in reporting control and compliance, as well as fixed assets and inventory management.
Specialist: Business Intelligence (Power BI)
The Specialist in Business Intelligence will design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, supporting data analytics platforms and conducting unit testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a BI Developer, with a background in data warehouse design and data mining. In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL frameworks is essential. Familiarity with BI technologies, particularly Microsoft Power BI and Oracle BI, along with proficiency in SQL queries and related services, is required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.
Specialist: Data Analyst
The Data Analyst Specialist will clean and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights that drive business improvements. Responsibilities include developing interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Power BI, working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, and conducting ad hoc analyses. Candidates should have proven experience as a BI Data Analyst, with a background in data analysis and mining. An in-depth understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks is necessary. Familiarity with BI technologies and proficiency in SQL queries are required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Database Administrator
The Database Administrator will manage busy database environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Electrical Engineering and have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL databases. Experience with Oracle RAC, Dataguard, RMAN, and engineered systems is essential, along with proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are crucial for this role.
Regional Acquisition Manager – Maichew/Mehoni
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Regional Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in expanding Safaricom Ethiopia’s customer base and increasing market share in the Maichew/Mehoni region. The role involves developing and implementing sales plans and strategies to achieve acquisition targets, identifying and targeting potential customers through various channels, and building strong relationships with prospects and customers. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with proven experience in sales and customer acquisition, preferably in the telecom industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Fluency in the local language, Tigrigna, is required.
