Position: Specialist – Fraud Detection
Safaricom Ethiopia is currently seeking a Specialist – Fraud Detection to join its dynamic team in Addis Ababa. This pivotal role involves preventing, detecting, and mitigating fraud across all service revenue streams, with a focus on enhancing controls and implementing innovative strategies to address risks.
The Specialist will proactively identify high-risk areas and recommend process changes to reduce fraud exposure. Leveraging advanced technologies and robust data analysis, the role includes detecting and mitigating fraud in both GSM and M-PESA systems. An essential aspect of this role is utilizing a deep understanding of existing telecom and financial fraud mechanisms to detect sophisticated anomalies and ensure business continuity.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing alerts from various systems, implementing fraud management controls, and conducting detailed risk assessments.
