Position: Executive Sous Chef

The Executive Sous Chef position is a critical leadership role within Ethiopian Airlines’ catering division. The successful candidate will bring expertise in culinary arts, leadership, and innovation to drive excellence in catering production.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification standards:

  1. A BA Degree in Food and Beverage Service, Hotel Management, Hotel Operation, Restaurant Management, Hotels and Tourism Management, Food Engineering, or related fields from a recognized university. Candidates must also have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in large-scale catering production or in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  2. Alternatively, a 10+3/College Diploma/Level III Certificate in Food Preparation, Kitchen Operation, Foreign Dish Cooking, Confectionery, Baking, or Pastry Making from a recognized catering institute or TVET College is acceptable. Candidates must have at least 12 years of relevant experience in large-scale catering production or in a 4- or 5-star hotel.

Location and Application Details

The role is based at the Ethiopian Airlines Head Quarter, Ethiopian Airport Enterprise Building. Registration and document submission will take place at the Recruitment & Placement Office from December 3, 2024, to December 9, 2024.

  • 8th grade ministry card and birth certificate (issued by the city administration)
  • Grade 10 and Grade 12 certificates
  • Latest educational credentials
  • Relevant work experience documents
  • Kebele ID card (front and back)
