Position 1: Qualitative Research Assistant Consultant
PATH is looking for a Qualitative Research Assistant Consultant to support various research initiatives aimed at improving public health in Ethiopia. The primary responsibilities for this role include assisting with the logistics of conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), taking detailed notes during these sessions, and contributing to the synthesis of key findings. The ideal candidate should have a First degree in sociology or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in public health research activities, particularly as a note-taker for qualitative studies. Fluency in both Amharic and English is a must, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines. Applicants should also demonstrate strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public health research, particularly in qualitative research design and implementation.
The Qualitative Research Lead Consultant will work closely with PATH staff and other partners to analyze research findings, identify key themes, and prepare comprehensive reports. Position 3: Data Collector for HPV Cost of Delivery Study
PATH is conducting a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) cost of delivery study in Ethiopia and is looking for Data Collectors to join the team for this critical research initiative. The primary responsibility of the data collectors will be to administer surveys using a tablet-based data collection tool, Open Data Kit (ODK), and record responses from EPI staff at various health system levels. The role requires BSc in Health Science or a related field and experience in quantitative data collection, particularly with ODK. Familiarity with HPV vaccine cost data collection is an asset, and excellent communication skills in both Amharic and English are required.
This position is a great opportunity for those looking to contribute to important public health research that will inform policy and decision-making around HPV vaccination and health service delivery in Ethiopia. Data collectors will work in various districts across Ethiopia, including Afar, Addis Ababa, Amhara, and Somali regions.
