Currently, Menschen für Menschen Foundation is looking to fill two critical positions: Purchase Officer and Auto-Electrician. Both roles require experienced professionals who can manage procurement and vehicle electrical systems efficiently. Purchase Officer
The Purchase Officer will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities to ensure the foundation’s projects have access to the best quality goods and services at competitive prices. This position involves evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that purchases are made in compliance with the foundation’s procurement policies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating supplier information, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
A key part of this role includes researching and identifying prospective suppliers, gathering and analyzing bid documents, and comparing offers from vendors. The Purchase Officer will also be expected to track market trends and maintain an updated database of prices and product specifications to enhance efficiency in procurement. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Applicants must hold a BA degree in Purchasing/Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of six years of experience in procurement is required. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in computer applications, and fluency in spoken and written English. This role is essential for keeping the foundation’s fleet in optimal condition, enabling smooth logistical operations.
Responsibilities include identifying and diagnosing electrical issues in vehicles, repairing faulty components, and replacing defective wiring and fixtures. The Auto-Electrician will also ensure compliance with safety standards while working on various types of electrical systems in motor vehicles. A deep understanding of automotive electrical technology and practical problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Candidates must possess a College or TVET Diploma in Auto-Electricity or a related field. A minimum of six years of experience in vehicle electrical maintenance is required. Applicants should be highly reliable, observant, and capable of working efficiently within a team. Strong organizational skills and fluency in spoken and written English are also important for this role.
