Love In Action Ethiopia (LIAE) is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized communities across both urban and rural areas in Ethiopia. Founded in 2001, LIAE has worked tirelessly to create sustainable development solutions with minimal external intervention, focusing primarily on vulnerable groups in society. The organization is seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join its team in Addis Ababa. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of others, particularly in a non-governmental setting. As LIAE continues to expand its operations and further its mission, it invites applications for two key positions.
The IT Coordinator position requires an individual with a solid educational background in Information Technology or Computer Science, alongside practical work experience in managing IT systems and networks. Candidates with 2 to 5 years of experience, particularly those with a background in NGOs, will be well-suited for this role. The position demands a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, as well as experience with system administration, including servers and cloud services. The role also requires an individual who can effectively communicate with non-technical staff, ensuring smooth operations within the organization. IT coordinators will need to be well-organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is ideal for someone with certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar credentials. Applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to Addis Ababa, where the job will be based.
In addition, LIAE is seeking a Communications Officer who can contribute to the organization’s strategic communication efforts. This role is designed for a female applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field, and a strong interest in helping organizations craft and execute communication strategies. Although this position is entry-level, applicants with 0-2 years of experience in communication roles are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will possess excellent writing skills and be proficient in managing social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing strategies. Familiarity with graphic design tools, such as Canva or Adobe Suite, as well as content management systems, will be advantageous. The Communications Officer will need to be able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail are essential. This position will also be based in Addis Ababa and is specifically open to female applicants.
How to Apply
