Operations Officer – Somali Speaker
The Operations Officer role at Edomias International is a critical position that ensures the smooth running of our Visa Application Center (VAC) operations. As part of the team, you will manage end-to-end operational processes, maintain high-quality standards, and optimize cost-effectiveness. Your ability to handle customer interactions, ensure compliance with procedures, and support process innovations will play a pivotal role in maintaining Edomias’s reputation for excellence.
The responsibilities of the Operations Officer include overseeing document scrutiny, managing customer queries via various channels, handling cash transactions (where applicable), and ensuring accurate data entry with zero errors. Additionally, you will coordinate the logistics of passport delivery, adhere to operating procedures, and encourage customer feedback to enhance the overall experience.
Your role will also involve assisting managers with project execution, maintaining compliance with environmental and safety policies, and meeting key performance indicators. To excel in this position, you must possess adaptability, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to meeting operational targets within the designated turnaround time.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should hold a BA or BSc degree in any field. Although prior experience is not required, candidates with a background as Customer Service Representatives are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in basic computer applications, particularly MS Office, and a fast typing speed are essential.
Fluency in Somali is a mandatory requirement for this position, while knowledge of an additional international language will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate should have the presence of mind to address customer queries effectively and the ability to innovate and enhance productivity.
This full-time position is based in Addis Ababa, and the monthly salary is 20,275.00 ETB.
