Seeking a Dedicated Professional for Development

The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) is hiring a dynamic and motivated intern to support implementing activities on the rule of law and accountability.

Position: Intern, Rule Of Law And Accountability

This role offers a unique chance to contribute to impactful research and analysis on the rule of law and transitional justice.

Overview of Requirements

  • A Postgraduate degree in law (e.g., human rights, criminal justice, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, or public international law) or the social sciences (e.g., public policy, sociology, political science, criminology, or transitional justice).
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills, with an interest in Africa’s peace and conflict dynamics, transitional justice, and rule of law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Computer literacy, working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or R) is advantageous.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on multiple tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Contract & Stipend

  • The contract will be for 6 months.
  • A monthly stipend will be offered.
