Position: Accountant
This role is essential for maintaining the financial health and compliance of Finmar, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records, overseeing general accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your duties also include assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities, preparing financial reports, and working closely with auditors. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. The selected candidate will also provide essential support to the senior leadership, contributing to the financial strategy and decision-making processes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and statements, overseeing general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax laws, assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, working closely with auditors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial audits, knowledge of handling cash register machines, and handling petty cash. The ideal candidate must be proficient with Peachtree accounting software and advanced in Excel, especially regarding financial modeling. The chosen candidate will be expected to maintain the highest level of integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 up to 3 years of experience in accountant roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Peachtree).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
