The Enabling Young Women and Men (EYWM) to Find Dignified and Fulfilling Work in Manufacturing Program is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Members of the Youth Advisory Group (YAG). Our program is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within five key sub-sectors in Ethiopia: Solid Waste Management, Agro and Food Processing, Handicrafts and Leather, and Textile and Garment. Operating across five strategic clusters—Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Bahir Dar, Dire Dawa, and Hawassa—we focus on building the capacity of SMEs to sustainably create and improve job opportunities for young Ethiopians. We believe that empowering youth is essential for driving economic growth and creating a brighter future for our nation.
As a member of the Youth Advisory Group (YAG), you will play a vital role in advising the EYWM program on the needs and challenges facing young entrepreneurs and job seekers in your community. You will serve as a voice for youth, providing valuable insights and feedback to help us design and implement effective programs and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people in Ethiopia and contribute to the development of a more inclusive and prosperous society. Position: Volunteer Member, Youth Advisory Group (YAG)
This is a volunteer position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs that support young entrepreneurs and job seekers in Ethiopia. As a YAG volunteer, you will work closely with the EYWM program team to provide feedback on program design, identify emerging challenges and opportunities, and advocate for the needs of youth in your community. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking events, expanding your knowledge and skills in the field of youth development. Your role is vital in guaranteeing the EYWM program makes a genuine impact.
Your responsibilities will include attending regular meetings, participating in discussions, providing feedback on program materials, conducting outreach to youth in your community, and representing the EYWM program at local events. This position requires a strong commitment to serving your community, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to collaborate with others. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your contributions are helping to empower young people and create a brighter future for Ethiopia. The role also offers experience for future employment or further education.
Requirement Skill
- Minimum 12 grade complete, good Communication & Basic Technology skill
