Position Overview
The Ethiopian Midwives Association is hiring 38 midwives, with 29 positions available in Oromia and 9 in the Sidama region. Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Midwifery and have relevant work experience. The role requires hands-on clinical expertise and a strong understanding of both international and national standards in reproductive, maternal, and newborn health.
Applicants should demonstrate a history of working in humanitarian settings and possess training in critical areas such as MISP (Minimum Initial Service Package), BEmONC (Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care), FP (Family Planning), CAC (Comprehensive Abortion Care), PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission), and GBV/CMRS (Gender-Based Violence and Clinical Management of Rape Survivors). Experience with international and national non-governmental organizations (I/NGOs) is highly desirable, as it reflects the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments effectively.
