Role: Telephone Operator/Receptionist
Ethio-Nippon Technical S.C. is looking for a Telephone Operator/Receptionist to join its Addis Ababa office. This role is central to the company’s communication and customer service functions, requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the telephone switchboard, connecting calls to appropriate departments, and ensuring smooth communication across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The Telephone Operator/Receptionist will handle a variety of tasks essential to maintaining effective communication and organizational efficiency. Responsibilities include operating the telephone switchboard, receiving and routing calls, and supplying information to callers. The candidate will also establish inter-office and local telephone connections upon request, take messages, and ensure the switchboard remains fully functional.
In addition to telephone operations, the role involves greeting visitors, determining the nature of their inquiries, and providing appropriate assistance or referrals. The Telephone Operator/Receptionist will also report technical issues to the telecommunications provider and assist in troubleshooting any faults. The role may include other related duties assigned by supervisors, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in supporting the company’s objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To qualify for this position, candidates must have a 10+3 diploma in Management, Human Resource Management, or Secretarial and Office Management from a recognized university, college, or TVET institution. Training in PBX (Private Branch Exchange) systems is mandatory, ensuring the candidate is well-equipped to manage the company’s communication infrastructure.
