The Position: USAID Project Management Specialist (Democracy & Governance)
USAID Ethiopia is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Project Management Specialist (Democracy & Governance). This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage programs that strengthen democracy, governance, and civic engagement in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing projects within USAID Ethiopia’s Office of Democracy and Governance (ODG).
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in developing programs that address governance, transparency, human rights, civil society development, elections, and political transitions. Responsibilities include providing technical direction, managing contracts and grants, and ensuring activities align with USAID’s strategic objectives. This role also involves performing financial analyses, monitoring program budgets, and preparing detailed reports to guide decision-making.
Beyond program management, the role requires effective liaison and communication skills to coordinate efforts with other USAID offices, U.S. government agencies, Ethiopian government partners, and international organizations.
