Retail Customer Relationship Manager – Interest-Free Banking Process
The Cooperative Bank of Oromia is looking for an accomplished professional to fill the role of Retail Customer Relationship Manager in the Interest-Free Banking (IFB) process. This role is essential for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers while ensuring all services align with Sharia-compliant banking principles.
The Retail Customer Relationship Manager is responsible for customer acquisition, credit assessment, loan management, and risk mitigation. By tailoring financial products to customer needs, the manager will ensure sustainable growth while adhering to internal policies and Sharia guidelines. This role requires a proactive individual capable of enhancing customer loyalty, maximizing deposits, and contributing to resource mobilization.
Key Responsibilities
The Retail Customer Relationship Manager will oversee various aspects of the customer relationship cycle, from acquisition to ongoing support. A primary duty is to attract and retain Sharia-compliant customers by developing personalized banking solutions. The manager will perform in-depth credit analyses, ensuring thorough due diligence and compliance with Sharia principles before approving financing applications.

Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold at least a BA or MA/MSc degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, or other related fields. Candidates should have a minimum of six years of relevant banking experience, with at least one year in a managerial or supervisory role.
Proficiency in retail banking products, such as savings accounts, loans, and wealth management solutions, is critical. A solid understanding of risk assessment frameworks, compliance programs, and international banking laws (e.g., AML, KYC) is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide tailored financial advice are highly valued.
