Planner Maintenance – Fleet and Cold Drink Equipment
The Maintenance Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of EABSC’s fleet and cold drink equipment. This includes meticulous planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, real-time monitoring of fleet reliability, and compliance with maintenance schedules. The position demands strategic oversight to minimize breakdowns, maximize efficiency, and ensure the fleet is always ready for use.
In this role, the Maintenance Planner will manage fleet maintenance by adhering to the company’s maintenance system requirements and ensuring 100% compliance with established plans. All deviations will be monitored, reported, and acted upon to reduce breakdowns to less than 5% monthly. Evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance plans is equally important, with a focus on optimizing time, cost, and quality. This involves conducting quarterly audits, reviewing processes, and proposing necessary changes to enhance overall performance.
The Planner will also oversee workshop administration, ensuring that tools and equipment are safe and functional. By applying 5S principles in all work areas, the Planner will maintain a clean, organized environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting mechanics with fault troubleshooting, ensuring roadworthiness of trucks, liaising with insurance companies for accident claims, and guaranteeing compliance with all legal requirements.
Skills, Experience, and Education
Candidates applying for this position must hold a first degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, particularly in fleet or equipment maintenance. The role demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage budgets effectively. Familiarity with maintenance scheduling systems and safety protocols will be highly advantageous.
