Research Officer II – Agricultural Innovation System
ILRI is seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of Research Officer II in Agricultural Innovation Systems. Project Accountant – A Vital Role in Financial Management
ILRI is also looking to recruit a skilled Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of its various projects. This role is critical in ensuring that project funds are properly managed, with an emphasis on compliance with organizational policies and donor agreements. The Project Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets, and providing timely financial reports for the country office and various project teams. In addition to managing day-to-day financial transactions, the Project Accountant will oversee the processing of travel and work advances, ensure that financial arrangements are made for project-related activities, and monitor project budgets to ensure that costs are controlled and deadlines are met.
A key responsibility for the Project Accountant will be to liaise with project managers and stakeholders to understand the financial requirements of each project. The accountant will also play a role in supporting the preparation of financial audits and ensuring that all project transactions are in compliance with internal and external regulations. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least five years of professional experience, preferably in a non-profit or international development context.
