Field Project Coordinator

Job Requirements

The Field Project Coordinator will play a vital role in managing and coordinating family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) programs. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Public Health or Medicine and possess at least six years of experience for a bachelor’s degree holder or four years for a master’s degree holder. Experience in managing health programs, particularly at the regional and local levels, is essential. The candidate must also demonstrate expertise in statistical software such as SPSS, Epi Info, and Excel, along with proficiency in project database management systems like DHIS2.

This position demands a deep understanding of sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH) programs. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and a commitment to EngenderHealth’s core values, including reflection, inclusion, and integrity. Fluency in English and at least one local language is required. Knowledge of adolescent and youth health interventions is highly desirable, as is expertise in logical framework analysis and performance monitoring.

The Field Project Coordinator will be based in Yabello and is expected to oversee health interventions, ensure effective program implementation, and collaborate with local health systems. The role requires excellent interpersonal communication and a proven ability to manage complex health projects.


Zonal Cluster Coordinator

Job Requirements

The Zonal Cluster Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating health programs in lowland and pastoralist settings. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, or a related field, with eight years of experience for a bachelor’s degree holder and five years for a master’s degree holder. Previous experience with international or national NGOs, particularly in USAID-funded programs, is an advantage.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of RMNCAH-N interventions and public health systems in pastoralist contexts. They must demonstrate expertise in operational planning, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as staff supervision and team coordination. The position demands excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government officials and community members.

The Zonal Cluster Coordinator will travel frequently, up to 60% of the time, to support zones and woredas. Knowledge of health issues in lowland areas and cultural sensitivities in the Borena zone is essential. Proficiency in English and local languages is strongly preferred.


Salary and Benefits
