Accountability Officer – Axum
As an Accountability Officer based in Axum, you will play a pivotal role in supporting CARE Ethiopia’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework. This includes ensuring effective mechanisms are in place to gather feedback, monitor program outcomes, and enhance the organization’s accountability to the communities it serves.
To qualify, applicants must have a B.A. degree in Social Sciences, Management Information Systems, Development Studies, Statistics, or related fields, along with three years of experience in MEAL and accountability-related tasks. Strong communication skills in English and a working knowledge of the local language are essential. Proficiency in database management, data analysis, and common office software is required.
Candidates with an M.A. degree, experience in non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS or database tools like MS Access will have an advantage. Experience with digital data collection platforms is also highly desirable.
Accountability Officer – Semera
For the Accountability Officer position in Semera, the role involves fostering transparency and responsiveness within CARE Ethiopia’s programs. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to implement accountability and protection strategies that align with the organization’s mission.
Applicants must possess a B.A. degree in Social Sciences, Management Information Systems, Development Studies, Statistics, or related fields and have at least three years of relevant work experience, preferably within an NGO setting. Essential qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of the local language, and advanced computer skills.
Preferred qualifications include an M.A. degree, expertise in statistical tools such as SPSS, and familiarity with digital data collection systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing data efficiently while maintaining high ethical standards.
Accountability Officer – Borena
The Accountability Officer role in Borena focuses on strengthening program accountability by engaging communities and stakeholders. This includes managing feedback mechanisms, monitoring activities, and ensuring that programs meet CARE Ethiopia’s quality standards.
Candidates must have a B.A. degree in Social Sciences, Management Information Systems, Development Studies, Statistics, or related fields, along with a minimum of three years of experience in accountability or MEAL tasks. Proficiency in English, local language skills, and advanced computer literacy are necessary.
