Interpreter Position Overview
BCaD Consulting Management is looking for Interpreters who are fluent in one or more of the following language pairs: Amharic and English, Tigrigna and English, Oromiffa and English, Anuak and English, Somali and English, Arabic and English, and Spanish and English. The primary responsibility of the Interpreter is to facilitate clear and accurate communication between parties who speak different languages. This role requires a high level of professionalism, neutrality, and attention to detail to ensure that communication aligns with job and company expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, with near-native proficiency and an accent-neutral speaking style. Prior experience in a customer service environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, handling calls with a courteous and friendly tone, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to sit for long hours with minimal breaks and maintain focus is essential. Additionally, candidates must have reliable internet access, a suitable laptop, and a quiet workspace to ensure uninterrupted communication.
This position offers a flexible work schedule, with a weekly workload of at least 40 hours. Interpreters will be required to work during late afternoons, evenings, or beyond midnight to align with Pacific Standard Time. Flexibility to work during Ethiopian holidays is also required, as the role follows U.S. holiday schedules. Qualifications and Skills
