Principal – IFB Product Development Officer

Awash Bank is seeking a driven and experienced Principal – IFB (Islamic Finance Banking) Product Development Officer to spearhead the planning, organization, and control of the IFB product development division. The individual in this role will play a vital part in the strategic growth of Awash Bank’s IFB offerings. Responsibilities include managing the entire IFB product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing customer and market requirements, defining a clear product vision, and collaborating closely with various internal departments to ensure revenue generation and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires the continual analysis of market trends and competitor activities to accurately assess Awash Bank’s position and to identify potential opportunities and threats in the marketplace. The position is based in Addis Ababa.

Qualification & Experience:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or Economics. A minimum of six years of experience in banking operations is essential, with at least two years spent in a senior role, preferably within IFB services. Awash Bank is currently seeking experienced Branch Managers to oversee the operations of its Class IV Branches located in various regions of Ethiopia. The Branch Manager is responsible for effectively planning, organizing, leading, and controlling all banking activities within the branch, ensuring adherence to the bank’s operating procedures, rules, regulations, and codes of practice. A critical aspect of this role involves leading branch sales and customer service initiatives, driving operational excellence, and preparing and submitting annual budgets, operational plans, and progress reports. The candidate must ensure excellent customer service to maintain customer loyalty.

Qualification & Experience:

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Economics. A minimum of eight years of relevant banking experience is required, with at least three years in a supervisory position. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
