National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) Job Opportunities – Apply by January 19, 2025

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent organization entrusted with overseeing and conducting free, fair, and credible elections throughout the nation. Established under Article 102 of the Ethiopian Constitution, NEBE has played a critical role in shaping Ethiopia’s democratic processes. Since its inception, NEBE has organized multiple national and local elections, as well as referendums, ensuring the inclusivity and participation of citizens in decision-making.

In January 2019, the organization underwent significant reforms aimed at enhancing its effectiveness and independence. The House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that restructured the board into a five-member management body, each serving full-time for six years. Guided by Proclamation No. 1133/2019, NEBE remains dedicated to conducting transparent elections and fulfilling its constitutional mandate.
