Finance and Administration Officer

EISC is hiring for the role of Finance and Administration Officer, a full-time, permanent position based in Addis Ababa. This role is essential for managing the organization’s financial and administrative operations while ensuring compliance with both Ethiopian and international accounting standards.

Financial and Operational Management

As the Finance and Administration Officer, you will oversee bookkeeping, manage invoices, and maintain accurate accounting documentation. This role requires expertise in Ethiopian and European accounting standards. Key responsibilities include managing the organization’s bank accounts, processing payments, and collaborating with the Director on budget planning and execution. You will also monitor expenditures against budgets, ensure compliance with donor guidelines, and prepare financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.

Additionally, the role involves managing annual account closures and external audits in partnership with auditors. The Finance and Administration Officer will be tasked with developing financial systems to enhance efficiency and transparency within the organization. Adherence to donor-related procurement regulations and effective record-keeping are critical components of this role.

Human Resources

In the human resources domain, the Finance and Administration Officer will handle monthly payrolls, maintain internal leave records, and monitor HR developments to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires close collaboration with the Social Secretariat to streamline HR processes and address organizational needs effectively.

Administrative Responsibilities

The administrative aspect of this role involves overseeing compliance with legal and administrative requirements as a Belgian asbl. The successful candidate will manage relationships with service providers to ensure smooth office operations and logistical support. They will also assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and events while ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently.

Marketing and Visibility

Qualifications and Requirements
