Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative and Logistics Officer, you will be at the forefront of managing Solidarités International’s operations in Ethiopia. Your responsibilities will span various critical areas, including human resources, treasury, accounting, and logistics. Under the guidance of the Administrative and Logistics Managers, you will ensure smooth operational processes and compliance with Solidarités International’s protocols.
You will oversee personnel recruitment, contract drafting, onboarding processes, and payroll preparation using the Homère human resources management software. A vital part of your role will involve maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive data and supporting employees through training and briefings. In addition, you will facilitate meetings with personnel representatives and ensure adherence to policies related to compensation and benefits.
Your accounting and treasury responsibilities will include cash management, maintaining cash boxes, verifying transactions, and preparing monthly account closings. You will also ensure compliance with Solidarités International’s financial regulations, secure the organization’s funds, and provide accurate reports on financial transactions.
The logistics component of your role involves managing supplies, updating vendor databases, and ensuring adherence to purchasing procedures. You will monitor procurement processes, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Furthermore, you will oversee IT equipment maintenance, provide technical support to employees, and guarantee the proper use of technological resources.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates should hold a degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, logistics, or a related field. A minimum of two years’ experience in accounting, finance, or human resources is essential, with previous field-based or humanitarian experience being highly desirable.
Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of local labor laws is advantageous. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex logistical and administrative operations. Familiarity with personnel management, legal compliance, and financial reporting processes is also critical for success in this role.
Salary and Contract Details
The position is based in Addis Ababa with a basic salary starting from $700 (paid in ETB). The employment contract is expected to begin on February 1, 2025, and run through August 31, 2025.
