Program Intern
Dan Church Aid (DCA) invites qualified female candidates to apply for the position of Program Intern. This role is ideal for recent graduates from recognized universities, who hold a first degree in fields such as Agriculture, Food Security, Development Studies, Livelihood, Project Management, or other related disciplines. The Program Intern will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities supporting DCA’s humanitarian and development efforts.
As a Program Intern, the individual will work closely with the program team, support various field activities, and assist in project implementation. The role requires an individual with a strong background in academic achievement and an eagerness to develop practical skills in project design, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The intern will collaborate with different teams to ensure the effective delivery of project outcomes, including supporting logistical arrangements and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Intern will contribute to the success of DCA’s programs by:
- Developing and leading team schedules and tasks.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation related to program activities.
- Supporting field activities, including joint field monitoring with stakeholders.
- Coordinating closely with administrative and support service teams to manage procurement processes and logistical needs.
- Facilitating program and stakeholder meetings, including summarizing project implementation progress.
- Engaging in knowledge management and cross-learning activities to enhance program visibility and impact.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of a first degree in Agriculture, Food Security, Development Studies, Livelihood, Project Management, or related fields.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to write concise and accurate reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Keen willingness to learn and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions.
