Office Support

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is seeking qualified individuals to fill the Office Support position (#158/2024). This role is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of daily administrative tasks within the Integrated Soil Fertility Management Project (ISFM+). The ISFM+ project, operating in selected areas of Amhara, Oromia, Sidama, South, Central, and Tigray regions, focuses on improving soil fertility, health, and productivity. With a duration until June 2026, the project promotes the integrated use of locally adapted ISFM technologies to enhance on-farm biomass production and improve agricultural practices.

The Office Support staff will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of office operations by organizing and maintaining office supplies, coordinating catering and maintenance services, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. This includes distributing materials, managing inventory levels, and supporting small-scale administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and filing. In addition, the Office Support will provide logistical support for workshops and training courses, ensuring seamless execution of events both within and outside office premises.

Candidates applying for this position should possess at least a secondary school leaving qualification or equivalent vocational training. A minimum of one to three years of professional experience in a similar role is required, with proficiency in administrative and organizational tasks. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this position.

Other Duties

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Office Support staff may be required to undertake other assignments as necessary to meet the operational demands of the project.
