Internship Opportunity: Logistics and Admin Assistant
Welthungerhilfe Ethiopia is currently seeking an Intern – Logistics and Admin Assistant to support its administrative and logistical operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about logistics, procurement, and office management to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the organization’s impactful work in Ethiopia.
Required Qualifications
To qualify for this internship, applicants must hold a BA or BSc degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of supply chain management, fleet management, and office administration. Additionally, applicants should have no record of fraud or misappropriation of resources and must be able to thrive in a high-pressure work environment with diverse demands.
Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics and Admin Assistant intern, you will work closely with the Logistics and Admin Officer to support procurement, logistics, and administrative functions. Your responsibilities will include preparing bid documents, analyzing procurement processes, and maintaining supplier records. You will also assist in customs clearance activities and ensure that the organization’s assets, including vehicles, furniture, and equipment, are maintained to the highest standards.
In addition to supporting procurement and asset management, the intern will help with travel booking, office organization, and event coordination. This includes scheduling meetings, arranging accommodations, and managing incoming and outgoing communications. Your role will also involve maintaining and updating inventory records, identifying assets for disposal, and adhering to Welthungerhilfe’s policies and guidelines.
