Risk & Compliance Management Director

The Risk & Compliance Management Director at Shabelle Bank will play a critical role in developing and executing the bank’s risk management and compliance strategies. The director will be responsible for reviewing risk assessments, setting risk tolerance limits, and ensuring that anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations are strictly followed.

The role demands a Master’s or BA degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or other business-related fields, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of banking experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role within risk and compliance. Based at the Jijiga head office, this position requires a leader with the ability to drive forward-thinking risk management practices and oversee the development of comprehensive risk frameworks.

Internal Audit Director

The Internal Audit Director at Shabelle Bank is tasked with leading the internal audit function, ensuring the integrity of the bank’s internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. Vice President for Banking Operations

The Vice President for Banking Operations is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the bank’s operational functions. The Vice President will work closely with the executive management team to develop and implement the bank’s operations strategy, focusing on sustainable growth, profitability, and market share enhancement.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Master’s or BA degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 10-12 years of banking experience, including 2 years in senior management. Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The ideal candidate will have a BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields. For BSc. holders, at least 10 years of experience in information and communication technology, including 6 years in a managerial role, is required. For MSc. holders, 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial position, is needed. The position is based at the Jijiga head office, and the CTO will play a key role in driving technological innovation within the bank.
