OSP Technician
Safaricom Ethiopia is looking for a qualified Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to support its fiber optic network operations in Jimma. This critical role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must hold at least a Diploma or Degree in Telecommunication or related fields. A minimum of five years of hands-on experience working with fiber optic networks is required, covering both aerial and underground topographies. Proficiency in fiber optic splicing, termination, testing, cable pulling, and pole rigging is essential for success in this position.
Candidates with advanced qualifications are highly encouraged to apply. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least two years of experience in fiber optic maintenance and installation, will be given preference.
