SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a non-governmental organization and part of the SOS Children’s Villages International Federation. We began our work in Ethiopia by opening our first Village in Mekelle, in the northern region, in 1974.
Our current project, called “Leave No Youth Behind,” aims to help young care leavers in Ethiopia become independent and active in society. The program plans to directly support at least 1,400 young people leaving care. It also aims to reach 2.8 million young care leavers indirectly.
